  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to optimize project financial performance and resolve financial issues.
  • Utilize Sage 300 (Timberline) software for financial data management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance related to construction accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in the construction industry or with a General Contractor (GC), including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 (Timberline) software is required; familiarity with other construction-specific software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop accounting staff.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.
