Full Details of Job Post

Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Process Development: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components, structures, and systems. Utilize CAD/CAM software and simulation tools to create and validate manufacturing models, tooling designs, and production layouts.
Material Selection and Processing: Evaluate materials, coatings, and treatments for use in aerospace manufacturing applications. Select appropriate materials based on performance requirements, cost considerations, and manufacturing constraints. Develop and implement material processing methods, such as machining, forming, welding, and additive manufacturing.
Tooling and Fixturing: Design and procure specialized tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support aerospace manufacturing operations. Develop innovative solutions to improve productivity, accuracy, and repeatability in machining, assembly, and inspection processes. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source or fabricate custom tooling components.
Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Conduct time studies, cycle time analysis, and process simulations to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control standards and procedures for aerospace manufacturing operations. Implement statistical process control (SPC), inspection techniques, and quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory specifications.
Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and external partners to coordinate manufacturing activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure on-time delivery of components and materials. Conduct supplier audits, performance evaluations, and process validations to assess capabilities and mitigate risks.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process specifications. Ensure compliance with aerospace quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production planning, supply chain management, and quality assurance, to support product development and manufacturing projects. Collaborate on design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, prototype testing, and design validation activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering, preferably in a production environment or aerospace manufacturing facility.
Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AMS, MIL).
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX) and manufacturing simulation tools.
Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA Part 21, EASA Part 145).
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
