AV Technician

We are seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both new installation work and the commissioning/setup of audio-visual systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. Candidates schedule 4 day 10 hour shifts and company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

• Installation:
• Perform new installations of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, control systems, and other AV peripherals.
• Run and terminate cables, including HDMI, Ethernet, and audio cables, ensuring neat and organized wiring.
• Mount and secure AV equipment on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to safety standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and other trades to integrate AV systems into larger construction projects.
• Commissioning and Setup:
• Conduct testing and calibration of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Program and configure control systems, such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX, to meet user requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase to ensure all systems are fully operational.
• Provide training and support to end-users on the operation of AV systems.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed AV systems to ensure ongoing reliability.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
• Documentation and Communication:
• Create detailed reports and documentation for each project, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers to ensure project goals are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
