This position requires an active secret clearance.
This position is 75% travel and 25% PTO / Time Off.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AV Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation and maintenance of advanced AV systems for federal clients. This role requires 75% national travel to various federal sites, and candidates must hold a current Secret security clearance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems such as Extron and Crestron and a commitment to delivering top-notch technical solutions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

    • Installation & Setup:
    • Install, configure, and test audio-visual (AV) systems, including but not limited to Extron and Crestron systems, in various federal facilities across the country.
    • Ensure systems are installed per specifications, are fully operational, and meet the high standards of the client.
    • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
    • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, providing on-site and remote support as needed.
    • Client Interaction:
    • Work directly with federal clients to understand their AV needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on system operation and troubleshooting.
    • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and service activities.
    • Prepare and submit reports on project status, system performance, and any issues encountered.
    • Compliance & Security:
    • Adhere to all federal regulations and security protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
    • Safeguard sensitive information and maintain confidentiality as required by the Secret clearance level.

Requirements

    • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent technical certification.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AV system installation and support, specifically with Extron and Crestron systems.
    • Current Secret security clearance is mandatory.
    • Proficiency with AV equipment and control systems, including Extron and Crestron.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and teamwork.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.Position requires high school degree or GED.
    • At least two years’ AV technical experience.
