Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain case files for bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and important milestones in each case.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, answering inquiries and providing updates.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings between clients and attorneys.
  • Ensure clients receive necessary paperwork and understand the bankruptcy process.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness before submission to courts and other parties.
  • File documents electronically or in hard copy according to court procedures.
  • Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for attorneys as needed.
  • Handle billing and invoicing tasks related to bankruptcy cases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of bankruptcy law experience.
  • Experience documenting proof/formatting skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy court procedures and electronic filing systems.
  • Fee applications experience is a plus.
