Prepare structural plans in accordance with VDOT standards.
Document and report bridge conditions for inspections in compliance with NBIS.
Write reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts in collaboration with VDOT, counties, and municipalities.
Develop concept plans, design criteria, and cost estimates.

5+ years of experience in designing highway bridges and transportation structures.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience with design software such as MathCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software.
Passed the Virginia FE exam or holds a Virginia PE License.

Preparing structural plans in accordance with VDOT.
Be responsible for documenting and reporting bridge conditions for routine or special bridge inspection assignments in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS).
Write reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts working with VDOT’s, counties and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure.
Develops concept plans and design criteria, typical section(s), and cost estimate such as the long range estimates.

5+ years of experience designing highway bridges and transportation structures is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
