Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist with the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification to join our team. The Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for identifying and evaluating workplace hazards, implementing controls to mitigate risks, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial hygiene and a commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment. This position is 2 days onsite, 3 days remote per week with travel to Arlington, VA and occasionally Columbia, MD.
Responsibilities:
Conduct industrial hygiene assessments to identify and evaluate workplace hazards
Develop and implement strategies to control and mitigate occupational health risks
Monitor and assess workplace exposures to chemical, physical, and biological hazards
Provide recommendations for improving workplace safety and health
Collaborate with other safety professionals to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs
Conduct training on industrial hygiene principles and practices
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in industrial hygiene and occupational health regulations
