Summary
Responsibilities
- Promptly investigates all assigned claims for coverage, liability assessment, damages evaluation and subrogation/contribution.
- Establishes and executes appropriate action plans for claim resolution including loss cost management.
- Works collaboratively with internal and external business partners in investigating and reaching appropriate disposition of all claims.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.
- Demonstrates technical proficiency through timely, consistent execution of best claim practices and established claims handling guidelines.
- Effectively manages litigation process and defense counsel to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
- Prepares and submits claim status and excess reports to client and their excess carrier(s).
Requirements
- 2+ years of progressively responsible experience handling commercial automobiles and casualty claims.
- FL or TX claims licenses preferred.
- Familiarity with coverage, negligence principles, investigation, and negotiation experience.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and exercise good judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.

This position is 100% remote
The Commercial Insurance Industry in the United States is a $300 billion dollar market designed to protect commercial auto owners and continues to grow.
It is an exciting time to join Geico. We are looking for Commercial Auto Casualty Examiners to join the Commercial Claims Liability Team. You will expand your technical and procedural knowledge as you handle Commercial Automobile claims for our customers. You will be working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly investigates all assigned claims for coverage, liability assessment, damages evaluation and subrogation/contribution. Ensures timely disposition of all claims in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Establishes and executes appropriate action plans for claim resolution including loss cost management.
- Works collaboratively with internal and external business partners in investigating and reaching appropriate disposition of all claims.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.
- Demonstrates technical proficiency through timely, consistent execution of best claim practices and established claims handling guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers on claims and account issues.
- Effectively manage litigation process and defense counsel to ensured timely and cost effective outcomes.
- Prepares and submits claim status and excess reports to client and their excess carrier(s)
- This position is typically assigned claims of higher loss exposures and cover issues
Requirements:
- 2+ years of progressively responsible experience handling commercial automobiles and casualty claims
- FL or TX claims licenses preferred
- Familiarity with coverage, negligence principles, investigation and negotiation experience
- Obtains and maintains state adjusting licenses, as needed. Ensures that all state-required Continuing Education Credits are obtained as needed to maintain license.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and exercise good judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.

Annual Salary
$28.79 - $56.08
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
