About the role

AMPECO is looking for a business-savvy individual to join our team as a Contract Negotiation Specialist and aid our efforts at all stages of the contract lifecycle management. As a Contract Negotiation Specialist you would leverage your deep understanding of our and our customers’ needs and use your communication and negotiation skills to achieve favourable terms for both sides in a timely manner. You will be the expert in driving contract discussions, while addressing customer concerns and protecting AMPECO’s interests.

We expect you to

    • Develop in-depth knowledge of AMPECO’s offering - how our product works and how our service is delivered; 
    • Develop thorough understanding of our stakeholders’ needs (sales team, delivery teams, support teams, finance team, investors) and how those are represented in the associated contract terms;
    • Work closely with our in-house Legal Advisor;
    • Take a leading role throughout the complete contract lifecycle - drafting the initial agreement, conducting contract reviews and negotiations with the customer, finalising for signatures, and managing any subsequent amendments, extensions, renegotiations, or terminations; 
    • Build rapport with customer and their legal advisors from the beginning of the contract review process;
    • Lead contract negotiation meetings, primarily conducted via online conferencing platforms, including:
    • - Listen actively to understand prospect / customer’s needs and concerns.
      - Handle objections by understanding both sides’ needs and presenting a persuasive response.
      - Use sound judgement to agree on concessions.
      - Demonstrate creativity and flexibility to find “win-win” terms for both parties.  
      - Drive discussions towards closure. 
    • Document and maintain our Legal Playbook.

Must Have

    • 3+ years of experience leading negotiations with business stakeholders, procurement specialists and customer legal counsels/teams;
    • Proficiency in English;
    • Proven experience in communicating effectively with C-level stakeholders;
    • Active listening skills and the ability to ask questions in the right moment; 
    • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and present persuasive arguments;
    • A highly energetic team player with strong work ethic, supreme communication skills and a passion for entrepreneurship;
    • Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills;
    • Natural curiosity and interest in continuously learning about our product and industry.

Considered an advantage

    • Law degree;
    • Experience working with enterprise customers;
    • Experience leading contract discussions for a SaaS / PaaS offerings;
    • Experience working closely with Sales teams;
    • Fluency in a second European language – French, German, Spanish.
