Controller (Non Profit Experience Preferred)

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of total accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the non-profit industry is a bonus. This position is 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure financial integrity
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections
• Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of all required documents
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing best practices as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
