Summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quarterly and year-end GAAP financial statement preparation and maintain effective control procedures and documentation
  • Work with external audit firm to ensure sufficiency of tax information in the financial statements
  • Support the tax team in its monthly tax forecast calculations and modeling
  • Manage projects and tasks related to federal and state tax return compliance, including audit controversy and notices
  • Assist with the team’s tax planning projects, including various federal and state tax credits
  • Identify opportunities for automation and develop process efficiencies by utilizing software tools
  • Work closely with other departments within the Company to ensure timely awareness of transactions and events that will affect filing obligations
  • Assist with the Company’s Section 382 analysis and monitoring cumulative ownership shift
  • Support the Company in tax planning strategies and M&A activities
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax law changes and regulations and help develop the Company’s tax positions
  • Assist with special projects and all areas of the Company’s corporate tax function, as necessary

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of experience as a Tax Manager or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years of experience with ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes
  • Experience with federal and multi-state tax accounting for corporations and partnerships
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent research, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
