Description
PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. As Database Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain our organization’s database systems, as well as optimizing and enhancing database performance.
Responsibilities
· Must have experience in devising possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other options; also working as part of a team.
· Have experience creating work breakdown structures and development of program schedules and assigning software development team personnel to tasks.
· Experience in tracking resources and expenditures and in ensuring program success.
· Create software development plans and strategies.
· Must have experience in developing and implementing algorithms.
· Design and develop database architecture, tables, relationships, and data models based on application requirements and business needs.
· Works in conjunction with the Government and data end users to identify, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems.
· Designs how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems.
· Plans, designs, and optimizes data throughput and query performance; Designs, implements, and operates data management systems.
· Develops, maintains, and tests infrastructures for data generation, enabling transformation of data into formats which facilitate analysis.
Requirements
· Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive data.
· Must have experience in database design and oversee work of developers.
· Conduct quality control of software development.
· Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of software development process.
· Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and monitoring to ensure data integrity and availability.
· Implement and enforce data quality standards and processes to ensure accurate and reliable data within the database.
· Manage database schema changes, versioning, and migrations in collaboration with development and operations teams.
· Proficiency in working with various relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
· Advanced skills in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and database code.
· Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CEH, Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Adminastrator Associate
