Proficiency in Go, PHP, and PERL
Experience with domain activities and DNS server management

Fluency in Git and SQL
Experience with HTTP protocol, REST APIs, gRPC, and Protobuf
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English

About the job

The Domains & DNS team has been a pillar team for many years at Scaleway, as it works in one of the fundamental components of the Internet: the management of domains and DNS servers. Its action is not limited to the domain purchase product alone, it provides all Scaleway products with the domain name and DNS resolution solutions necessary for the proper functioning of our ecosystem.

Your missions will require programming, automation, and architecture skills. On top of your daily activities within your team, you will need to interact with all of Scaleway’s teams, especially Instances, Network, Hardware, and Platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Tech skills:
Languages: Go, PHP, PERL
Be fluent in Git and SQL
Have already work on Domains activity
Have already work on a DNS server
Have an understanding of DNS protocol
Have an understanding of DNSSEC
Have already work on registry EPP protocol
Have a extensive understanding of the HTTP protocol and REST APIs
Experience with gRPC and Protobuf

Soft skills:
Peer reviews
Team spirit and mutual aid
Written and verbal communication skills
Autonomy and rigour

Responsibilities

You will work:
On our own Registrar and derived product
On our DNS stack.

Preferred qualifications

Great oral and written communication skills
Infrastructure deployment with Ansible
Good command of French & English
