Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in HR operations, EOR services, or related fields focused on the APAC region.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations across APAC countries.
- Proven leadership experience managing remote, multicultural teams.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and risk management.
- Problem-solving mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software is a plus.

Joining us offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company’s rapid growth while receiving significant equity and career success. With operations beginning in early 2024, we are targeting launch by May/June, and we’re looking for a Director of EOR Operations to help drive the setup and execution of our processes across Asia-Pacific
The Director of EOR Operations will be responsible for building and managing EOR services in key markets across the APAC region (including the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and India). This position plays a crucial leadership role in ensuring smooth entity registration, payroll compliance, employee onboarding, and service delivery across jurisdictions.
The Director will work remotely, reporting directly to senior executive. You will need to think strategically, solve complex problems independently, and take proactive ownership of the company’s operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up EOR processes across APAC, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, payroll practices, and onboarding standards.
- Lead the registration and establishment of legal entities, starting with the Philippines and other APAC countries.
- Ensure payroll processes are compliant with regulations in each country. Manage partnerships with external payroll providers and oversee employee benefits.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to ensure seamless onboarding, including payroll setup, equipment delivery, and compliance adherence.
- Work with external legal, finance, and payroll teams to move funds, manage budgets, and handle employment registrations.
- Build and manage a small team to support regional operations, including payroll specialists and HR personnel.
- Strategic planning: Develop and execute operational plans aligned with the company’s rapid growth, while scaling resources effectively.
- Stakeholder management: Provide operational insights to senior management and collaborate with product and executive teams for seamless service delivery.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage the full cycle of EOR operations in multiple
- APAC countries, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.
- Compliance and Legal: Ensure all operations comply with local labor laws, tax regulations,
- and employment standards across APAC countries. Work with legal teams to mitigate risks.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients,
- ensuring their satisfaction with our EOR services while identifying opportunities for further
- engagement.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of regional managers and HR professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational
- workflows, increasing efficiency and scalability across the EOR service line.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the budget for APAC operations, including payroll funding for client employees and ensuring the timely processing of payments.
- Business Development: Support sales and business development teams in client acquisition by providing insights on operational capabilities and scalability in the region.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively address risks related to employee terminations, payroll discrepancies, or client non-compliance, protecting both the company and clients from legal or financial exposure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in HR operations, EOR services, or related fields, with a strong focuson the APAC region.
