馃挜 What will you do?
The Director of Finance at Merkle Science will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial stability, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves managing the finance team, driving financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the technology and blockchain industry.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
路 Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
路 Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory requirements.
路 Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and reporting.
路 Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
路 Lead the budgeting process and quarterly forecasting updates.
路 Monitor and analyze budget performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
路 Provide detailed financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives.
Compliance and Strategic Planning:
路 Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
路 Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure financial governance.
路 Partner with the executive team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies.
路 Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and strategies.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Communication
路 Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
路 Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for finance staff.
路 Manage relationships with external auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
路 Present financial reports and insights to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
路 Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
馃憖 What are we looking for?
Education and Experience:
路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
路 Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
路 Proven experience in the technology or blockchain industry is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
路 Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
路 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
路 Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling.
路 Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
路 Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
