Job Summary:
The Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. This role involves working closely with other engineering disciplines and manufacturing teams to create and improve automated control systems.

Design and Development:
Design and develop electrical control systems for machinery and equipment.
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software.
Develop control algorithms and software for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control devices.

Testing and Implementation:
Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Implement control systems into new and existing equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems during the commissioning phase and post-installation.

Project Management:
Manage projects from conception through to completion, including budget and timeline management.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and production staff.
Ensure projects comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Maintenance and Support:
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams.
Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including user manuals and technical specifications.
Perform regular maintenance and updates on control systems to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

Experience:

Skills:
