  • Proficient in email marketing tools, preferably HubSpot.
  • Knowledge of communication compliance best practices (CASL, PII, CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
  • Data-driven mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in both English and a plus in Spanish.

LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone).

THE ROLE:

The Email Marketing Automation Specialist supports the Global Marketing team with the end-to-end management of all email marketing campaigns for Apply Digital. In a fast-paced environment, you will work closely with teams across Marketing, Business Development, Partnerships, and Client Service to craft engaging and brand-aligned email content that resonates with our target audience, driving awareness and growth. You will identify triggers for automated email programs, personalization, and optimization through measurement and A/B testing across data segments. You are critical in owning the development of seamless email programs at different stages of the buyer journey on a global scale for Apply Digital, overseeing the full spectrum of email marketing activities from conceptualization through execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the development and optimization of global automated & triggered email programs.
    • Develop compelling email copy, including lifecycle emails, nurture campaigns, newsletters, and flows targeted toward new and existing customers at various points in their engagement cycle.
    • Leverage HubSpot Marketing tools to effectively build buyer journeys for email automation.
    • Support Email List Management with list automation and segmentation across business units using audience builder.
    • Oversee the end-to-end execution of email management, including email briefing, copy creation, segmentation, testing, and post-evaluation.
    • Utilize data for audience segmentation to deliver personalized email marketing programs that drive engagement, conversion, and retention growth.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Partners, and Client Service teams to create email campaigns that attract potential customers and guide existing ones toward a sale.
    • Leverage test-and-learn scenarios to A/B test, measure, and refine the buyer journey to maximize the performance of email programs and drive continuous improvement.
    • Analyze email analytics and generate performance reports to share with cross-functional business units.
    • Support the SDR team with outbound efforts and ensure that outbound email nurturing campaigns are developed cohesively.

REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of experience managing email marketing programs (1:1 triggered emails, drip campaigns, and newsletters).
    • 5+ years of experience writing skills specifically for Enterprise Audience
    • Experienced with copywriting, email development, and design; able to design frameworks for A/B testing in emails.
    • A strong writer who loves to perfect their craft and can adapt their tone and style depending on the audience's stage and the type of asset being created.
    • A strong communicator (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with teams and contributions to ongoing process improvement efforts with ease.
    • Proficient in email marketing tools (HubSpot is an asset).
    • Knowledge of communication compliance best practices (CASL, PII, CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
    • Data-driven mindset with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy.
    • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Thrived in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in both English (verbal and written) is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
