Summary

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research of designated environmental resources including wetlands, forests, streams, soil, plants, and wildlife
  • Respond to complex inquiries for technical assistance on data quality and reporting
  • Assist with statewide solid waste measurement research related to Civil Structures and Stormwater Engineering
  • Collaborate with junior and mid-level environmental staff, project engineers, GIS specialists, planners, and clients to achieve regulatory compliance
  • Oversee preparation of natural resources permitting applications and engage with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, Master's is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with essential functions and responsibilities
  • Rosgen Level I-IV training (ecological restoration)
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
  • Professional certifications (such as Professional Wetland Scientist or Certified Wildlife Biologist) are a plus

We are looking entry level and senior level Environmental Scientists to join our Ecological restoration team.

Duties

    • Conducting research of designated environmental resources including wetlands, forests, streams, soil, plants, and wildlife.
    • You will respond to highly complex inquiries for technical assistance on data quality and reporting.
    • You will also be responsible for assisting with various statewide solid waste measurement research efforts related to Civil Structures and Storm water Engineering.
    • Effectively collaborate with junior and mid-level environmental staff, project engineers, GIS specialists, planners, and clients to achieve regulatory compliance on a variety of projects.
    • Oversee preparation of natural resources permitting applications at federal, state and local level and engage with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients to achieve regulatory compliance for projects.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree is required, Master's is a plus.
    • 5+ years of experience with essential functions and responsibilities.
    • Rosgen Level I-IV training (ecological restoration)
    • Understands how to use Microsoft softwares, AutoCADD, and MicroStation.
    • Professional Certifications such as Professional Wetland Scientist, Certified Wetland Delineator, Certified Wildlife Biologist, Certified Environmental Professional, Project Management Professional, and Forest Conservation Act "Qualified Professional" would be a plus (not required).
