Field Service Engineer

Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation and troubleshooting on AV System products at customer locations.
• Provide technical support to company factory and sub-contractors during module and equipment assembly and start up.
• Diagnose audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related system problems.
• Manage and resolve system auto-generated Service Tickets.
• Repair audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems when possible, including re-terminating various cables.
• Provide remote end-user and concierge AV & IT system support.
• Configure and program equipment for various applications.
• Interface with manufacturers to identify and resolve issues.
• Recommend whether to repair or replace a defective product.
• Communicate and document activities accurately, including keeping records up to date and entering timesheet information.
• Deliver technical training and guidance to clients and team members.
• Provide professional customer service and build technical credibility with clients.
• Represent the company with Senior-level clients showing empathy, patience, and competence.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers, clients, and management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of AV experience is required.
• Formal education in electronics or related field is preferred.
• Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco) is required.
• AVIXA General CTS certification is preferred.

Benefits

• $70,000 - $95,000 salary.
