Salary: $90,000 - 95,000/year
We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer with experience in Lectora and a Public Trust clearance to join our team and support a federal agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality instructional materials and eLearning courses that meet the needs of the agency's diverse audience. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, expertise in Lectora authoring software, and the ability to work within the constraints of federal requirements and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Develop and design engaging, learner-centric instructional materials, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
Apply instructional design models and theories to create effective learning experiences that meet learning objectives and outcomes.
Conduct needs assessments and analyze learner requirements to tailor instructional content accordingly.
Utilize Lectora to build, maintain, and enhance eLearning modules and interactive content.
Ensure Lectora courses are SCORM-compliant and integrate seamlessly with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Create and curate content, including text, graphics, audio, and video, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate content and ensure instructional integrity.
Conduct thorough reviews and testing of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to federal guidelines and standards.
Implement feedback from learners and stakeholders to continually improve course quality and effectiveness.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing Lectora-based eLearning projects.
Demonstrated experience working with federal agencies or understanding federal guidelines and standards is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Lectora authoring software and other eLearning development tools.
Experience with SCORM, AICC, and xAPI standards.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their integration with eLearning content.
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
