  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with transportation service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the transportation process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Technology Integration: Implement and manage transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies to streamline operations.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS, PMP) are often preferred.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on transportation and logistics.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve transportation processes.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other supply chain software.
