The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, a passion for problem-solving, and experience in developing robust, scalable applications.

Duties

Perform technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including design, developing prototypes, and coding assignments.
Apply Agile methodology and J2EE application frameworks to design and develop customizations.
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions.
Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.

Requirements

4+ years of experience with Java is required.
Must be U.S Citizen due to having to work on government contracts.
Must have experience with Entellitrak or Case Management projects is required (Appian, Pegasystems, OpenText)
Ability to obtain a Public Trust, Plus if have an active one.
Understanding of software Project Lifecycle.
Experience with relational database such as MS SQL Server and Oracle.
Experience with several of the following technologies: J2EE, Design Patterns, JSPs, Servlets, Hibernate, Struts, ANT, XSLT, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, Web/Application Server, XML, and HTML.
Oracle Certified Professional (Java, Oracle), is preferred.

$50 - $63 an hour
