Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced power electronics systems for naval applications, including converters, inverters, rectifiers, and energy storage systems.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and simulation of power systems to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Develop and implement control algorithms for power electronics systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate power electronics systems into broader naval platforms and systems.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of power electronics components and systems to ensure compliance with military standards and specifications.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in power electronics and related technologies.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Navy requirements, including MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.
  • Participate in and lead design reviews, project planning, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
