The Litigation Practice Assistant will be responsible for supporting attorneys with various litigation tasks, including case preparation, document management, and client communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

    • Case Preparation: Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing case files, conducting initial case research, and preparing necessary documents.
    • Document Management: Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Ensure all documents are filed accurately and timely.
    • Scheduling: Coordinate and manage schedules for depositions, court hearings, meetings, and other litigation-related events. Send reminders and confirmations to all relevant parties.
    • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries. Maintain professional and confidential communication at all times.
    • Court Filings: Prepare and file court documents both electronically and physically. Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
    • Discovery Support: Assist with the organization and review of discovery materials, including document production and review.
    • Trial Preparation: Support attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing trial exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and managing trial logistics.
    • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, such as managing correspondence, preparing reports, and maintaining case files.
