Position Summary: 

The Manager of Student Recruitment is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, recruit, and onboard top-tier students from universities and law schools to join [Company Name]. This role focuses on building relationships with academic institutions, managing the recruitment process, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in student recruitment within a law firm environment, a strong understanding of legal career pathways, and the ability to drive innovative recruitment initiatives. This position is hybrid remote 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

    • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive student recruitment strategy aligned with the firm's objectives.
    • Identify target universities and law schools for recruitment efforts and establish strong relationships with career services and faculty.
    • Analyze recruitment trends and competitor activities to refine and enhance recruitment strategies.
    • Recruitment Process Management:
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for student programs, including summer associate programs, internships, and entry-level attorney positions.
    • Oversee campus recruitment activities, including job fairs, on-campus interviews, and information sessions.
    • Coordinate and participate in the interview process, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for all candidates.
    • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with law school career services, student organizations, and faculty members.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for university partners and potential candidates.
    • Engage with alumni and current employees to leverage networks and enhance the recruitment process.
    • Candidate Experience:
    • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
    • Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition from student to professional life at the firm.
    • Provide continuous support and guidance to candidates during the recruitment and onboarding phases.
    • Program Management:
    • Oversee the administration of summer associate programs, including planning events, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
    • Coordinate mentorship programs and other developmental opportunities for students and new hires.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of student programs and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
    • Prepare and present reports on recruitment activities, outcomes, and trends to senior management.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Diversity & Inclusion:
    • Promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment efforts, ensuring a diverse pool of candidates.
    • Develop initiatives to attract and retain students from underrepresented backgrounds.
    • Collaborate with the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion team to align recruitment strategies with broader D&I goals.
