Requirements

  • Must have an active security clearance.
  • TS/SCI required.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Level 3 contract certification required.
  • FAR Part 15 experience required.
  • Experience with IC or DoD.
  • DAWIA II and FAC-C II certification required.

A Principal Contract Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing contracts within an organization.

Duties

    • Identifying and clarifying the supplies and/or services to be acquired and developing procurement objectives and methodology which are appropriate to the value and complexity of requirements.
    • Procurement planning to include preparation of acquisition and procurement plans.
    • Preparing and reviewing justifications, determinations and findings, and source selection plans; serves as advisor to program officials to identify procurement objectives to be used in the preparation of statements of work.
    • Source selection to include devising broad varieties and types of contract vehicles (solicitations, letter contracts, agreements, and contracts), conducting pre-proposal conferences, performing cost and price analysis, determining competitive range and evaluating contractor responsibility.
    • Have the ability to use contract writing tools/software.
    • Ensures that contracts adhere to legal requirements, company policies, and regulatory guidelines. This includes understanding legal implications and consulting with legal counsel when necessary.
