Principal Contract Specialist (Top Secret Cleared)

The Principal Contract Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing large-scale government contracts. This role involves negotiating, drafting, and managing complex contracts while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with government contracting, a deep understanding of FAR/DFARS, and a proven track record in handling high-value contracts. Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Contract Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of government contracts from proposal development to contract closeout, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
• Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations with government agencies, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FAR/DFARS), company policies, and industry standards throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, providing strategic guidance to senior management on contract-related issues.
• Documentation: Draft, review, and approve contracts, modifications, and related documents to ensure clarity, legality, and alignment with company objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, legal counsel, finance, and other internal teams to ensure successful contract execution and management.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, providing regular status reports and updates to senior management.
• Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.
