  • Strong knowledge of real estate legal procedures and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

This position allows for 3-4 days per week remote / work from home.
As a Real Estate Legal Practice Assistant, you will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys within the real estate practice group. Your role will include managing documents, preparing binders, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

    • Document Preparation: Prepare and format legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
    • Bindering: Create, organize, and maintain physical and electronic binders for real estate transactions, case files, and other legal documents. Ensure binders are complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
    • Administrative Support: Assist attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence. Coordinate with clients and other parties as needed.
    • File Management: Maintain and organize case files and documentation, including scanning, filing, and archiving. Ensure proper documentation and retrieval of files in compliance with firm policies.
    • Research and Analysis: Conduct preliminary research and gather information related to real estate transactions, property records, and legal precedents. Assist in preparing reports and summaries.
    • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather information, schedule appointments, and provide updates on case progress.
    • Compliance: Ensure that all documentation and processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation for audits and compliance reviews.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support the smooth operation of the real estate practice group. Assist with special projects and assignments as needed.
