Residential Drafter

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design:
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections for residential buildings using CAD or Revit software.
• Produce accurate and detailed construction documents and blueprints.
• Update and revise drawings as needed based on project requirements and client feedback.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and project goals.
• Coordinate with other team members to incorporate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the building design.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their expectations.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in drafting and design software.
• Project Management:
• Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to project schedules.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference and use.
• Quality Control:
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to verify measurements and gather information for design development.
