Safety Site Supervisor (GovCon Experience)

The Safety Site Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs at our government contracting sites. This role involves ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations and government contracting requirements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in safety management within the context of government contracts and will be adept at managing site-specific safety plans.

Responsibilities:

• Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to government contracting projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations, as well as specific government contracting requirements.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety issues.
• Training and Education: Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors, ensuring understanding and compliance with safety protocols.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the site to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities, and prepare reports for management and government agencies as required.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure site readiness for emergencies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and government representatives to ensure safety objectives are met.
