Summary

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations as per local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide ongoing safety training and education to site personnel on various safety topics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure all required permits, licenses, and certifications related to safety are obtained and maintained.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related matters on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, foremen, and workers to address safety concerns.

Requirements

  • Experience working with Government Contracting.
  • Experience in safety, health, and environmental management in construction.
  • Current POSHA 30 certification.
  • Knowledge of USACE, OSHA, EM 385, and NAVAC regulations.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, equipment, and hazards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a Safety Site Supervisor, you will play a critical role in promoting and ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites.

Duties

    • Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations as per local, state, and federal requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
    • Provide ongoing safety training and education to site personnel on topics such as fall protection, hazard communication, scaffolding safety, etc.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
    • Ensure all required permits, licenses, and certifications related to safety are obtained and maintained.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related matters on construction sites, liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Collaborate with site supervisors, foremen, and workers to address safety concerns and promote a collaborative safety culture.

Requirements

    • Someone that has experience working with Government Contracting.
    • Experience in safety, health, and environmental management in construction.
