Responsibilities:

    • Financial Management:
    • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
    • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • QuickBooks Management:
    • Maintain and manage QuickBooks accounting software, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
    • Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
    • Generate financial reports and summaries from QuickBooks for management review.
    • Law Firm Accounting:
    • Handle trust accounting and ensure compliance with state bar regulations.
    • Manage client billing, including preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and handling billing inquiries.
    • Oversee the allocation of expenses to appropriate client matters.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accounting regulations and legal requirements.
    • Prepare and file periodic financial reports, including tax returns and other statutory filings.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
    • Process Improvement:
