Senior Business Services Accountant (Corporate Tax and Business Services)

We are a reputable accounting business based on the Gold Coast, Australia. We are looking for a diligent and experienced Business Services Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Australian corporate tax laws and business services. This position will play a crucial role in managing our client's financial portfolios and ensuring compliance with the Australian Taxation Office regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance and Advisory:
• Preparation and review of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian tax laws.
• Stay abreast of the latest tax legislation and advise clients on any potential impacts.
• Senior experience with Xero ledger/tax and Xero work papers is necessary.
• Experience working with budgets, time efficiency and timesheets
• Be able to finalise jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision or guidance.
• Experience in preparing financials and tax returns for businesses only.
• Be able to perform tax planning duties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a focus on Australian corporate tax and business services.
• Excellent knowledge of Australian Taxation Law and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
