Challenge
The Senior Cloud Engineer will manage the cloud platform, focusing on the availability, reliability, security, and performance of our client cloud-native systems, and ensuring their services continue to delight customers as they scale.
What you'll do
- Automate the operation of client platform, making it more reliable, stable, secure, and scalable as its usage grows and architecture evolves;
- Establish tooling and best practices for observability, infrastructure as code, and configuration management;
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and DevOps practices throughout the organization;
- Ensure cloud infrastructure is secure and compliant with security controls;
- Help with their incident response procedures and maintain operational excellence;
- Assist engineering teams with infrastructure capacity planning and executing;
- Participate in the On Call rotation;
- Uphold and embody our client mission, vision, and values;
- Work closely with the application development team.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
- 6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.
- Strong proficiency with AWS cloud platform.
- Deep understanding of observability best practices and tooling (DataDog, New Relic Or similar)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
- In-depth cloud and infrastructure security knowledge.
- CI/CD tools
Nice to have
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python, PHP, Java, etc);
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Migration;
- Application containerization and orchestration;
- Windows Application;
- Relevant certifications in Cloud services.
