Senior Design and Drafting Technician

Summary

Responsibilities

• Use mathematical formulas to convert scales, quantities of material, and dimensions.
• Work from sketches, as-build changes, and verbal information provided by engineers or designers to complete assignments.
• Follow standards on recurring tasks while seeking technical direction for complex design problems.
• Create and revise drawings based on specific layouts and engineering diagrams.
• Extract and compile a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, and reports, identifying errors and recommending design improvements.
• Assist in design modifications by compiling relevant data about specifications and materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for Secret Clearance eligibility.
• Experience as a Government Contractor is required.
• Secret Clearance preferred.
• SolidWorks or Pro-E/Creo experience is required.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize work.
• Proactive, motivated, and self-directed learner with good problem-solving skills.
• Effective team player with the ability to work with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of general government principles and procedures.
• Good time management skills.

Benefits

• $40 - $43 per hour
