About the role - you will:

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and customer focused Cloud engineering leader to join our Lyve organization. The candidate should have a strong technical background in S3 cloud platforms and cloud data domains, should be a thought leader, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and be an analytical and structured thinker. The right candidate should have a demonstrable track record of successfully developing cloud architecture frameworks, designing, and delivering modern cloud data platform solutions, cloud migrations, cloud-native solutions and helped drive Cloud Practice growth.

 

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in developing roadmaps and blueprints for S3 cloud and block storage platforms, building, and leading a team of technical cloud architects and engineers and delivering transformational business outcomes.

About you:

•    Experienced with agile development process and methodologies.
•    Strong knowledge of cloud service providers, cloud technology trends, cloud development tools, cloud migration and management and container technologies. 
•    A deep understanding of cloud-based data platform architectures, containers and serverless technologies.
•    Knowledge of cloud native architecture, cloud tooling and DevOps 
•    Proven experience with large scale distributed & cloud-based technologies such as Kubernetes, Hazelcast, Kafka, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, Containers, Chef, Splunk, Elastic, and Hadoop. 
•    Large-scale software/application development with coding experience in some of the following: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, PHP etc. 
•    Experience managing a team of global architects, software developers, and QA organizations.
•    Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams. 
•    Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels. 
•    Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, executives, product, and technology stakeholders.

•    Understand the business domain and product vision; in partnership with other team members to align the work of the team toward the shared goals for the product. 
•    Monitor team effectiveness, quality of work, and quickly address issues/performance affecting team productivity. 
•    Support team members in addressing or escalating issues to make the overall team more efficient. 
•    Remove roadblocks and obstacles; manage interdependencies when needed.

•    Experience managing and establishing automated controls for 3rd party audits (SOX, SOC-II, etc). 
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, SRE concepts and best practices. 
•    Experience implementing software delivery process such as Agile across multiple teams or organizations.
•    Strong track record of delivering results and are able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities with various business stakeholders. 
•    Experience leading Architecture/Principal level engineers.
•    Experience leading cloud cost optimization efforts. 
•    Experience leading cloud security architects and compliance efforts efficiently. 
•    Lead a complex cloud infrastructure organization supporting core products, recent acquisitions, and legacy infrastructure systems.
•    Lead by example to establish a culture of technical expertise and operational accountability.
•    Sponsor and support cloud governance initiatives, establishing standards, cost monitoring, and security/compliance efforts. 
•    Identify and prioritize technical initiatives to align and integrate with business goals. 
•    Add transparency mechanisms for stakeholders into the priorities and activities of our Cloud organization.
•    Solicit requirements from collaborators and foster excellent communication with stakeholders. 
•    Hire, coach, and manage diverse teams with varying skill sets and experience. 
•    Establish training standards and performance expectations for leaders and individual contributors.

 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science preferred, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
•    15 years' experience building enterprise software systems, and 10 years building object storage cloud platforms.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $231,000 - $343,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible employees, including, but not limited to, eligibility for variable pay bonus, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-and long-term disability, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, health savings account, dependent care, and healthcare spending accounts.
