Summary

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, components, or systems.
  • Create designs that meet or exceed quality and budgetary requirements.
  • Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
  • Review and approve equipment submittals.
  • Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases.
  • Provide electrical engineering support to facility technicians for troubleshooting.
  • Ensure proper interfaces between electrical systems and other mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with local utilities.
  • Ensure compliance of electrical designs and installations with applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to federal work requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Design experience with Autodesk's CADD and Revit software.
  • Federal experience on buildings is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical equipment, components, or systems. 
- Will be working 4 days onsite

Duties

    • Creation of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.
    • Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes.
    • Review and approval of equipment submittals.
    • Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
    • Provide electrical engineering support to facility technicians to troubleshoot existing electrical equipment and controllers.
    • Provide engineering support for the design, operation, and troubleshooting of all the facility's electrical components and systems, including:
    • Ensure that all equipment interfaces properly with other mechanical and electrical systems, including compatibility with facility power budgets.
    • Coordinate all electrical installations and maintenance activities with local electrical utilities personnel.
    • Ensure all electrical designs and installations conform to applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

    • Must be U.S Citizen, due to working with federal entities.
    • 5+ years of experience.
    • Have design experience with softwares like Autodesk's CADD and Revit.
    • Has to have federal experience on buildings.
    • Degree is required.
    • PE is a plus.
