Senior Full-Stack Developer

We are seeking Senior Developers to join our Web Development team. We are ideally looking for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in a senior development role. The ideal candidate will possess advanced development skills and a high level of proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, VueJS (or other front end frameworks), Laravel and mySQL. (WordPress is desirable).

Working from home as part of the development team and collaborating constantly with our Sydney-based Production and Management teams, you will be involved in the development of a wide variety of exciting digital solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Develop high-quality web applications on Laravel, ViewJS or other platforms
• Have an understanding of Web Design and UX principles
• Possess strong knowledge of web and programming languages such as PHP, Javascript,
• JQuery, AJAX, XML, CSS/SCSS, and SQL/TSQL
• Have a strong understanding of responsive design
• Have advanced knowledge in Bootstrap / Tailwind
• Have experience with the Adobe Creative suite, particularly PhotoShop and Figma
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Knowledge of Laravel (preferred) or other MVC Framework
• Knowledge of VueJS or other front end frameworks
• Knowledge of 3rd Party API Implementation
• Possess a high level of attention to detail
• Provide accurate time estimates for development
• Deliver projects on time and according to defined estimates
• Employ a proactive approach to problem solving, proposing more effective and efficient development solutions with confidence
• Maintain a current understanding of the latest web development standards and technology
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to junior members of the development team
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Prioritise and manage multiple projects
• Maintain a positive attitude and good temperament in difficult situations
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be disciplined in following internal procedures
• Work cohesively as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications and Skills (Desirable education, work experience, and skills /not required but high consideration given)

• Have knowledge of WordPress predefined functions and child and parent themes
• Possess strong foundation in building eCommerce sites using WooCommerce or othersimilar plugin or ecommerce platform
• Have advanced skills in WordPress Theme and Template customisation
• Ability to produce HTML Emails and Display Banners
• Understanding accessibility, security compliance, and testing
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Previous experience leading or managing a team
• Previous experience in developing innovative technical solutions
