Senior Mechanical Tech Lead/ Manager (Power Systems)

Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team in the design and development of power systems and related mechanical components for naval applications.
• Oversee detailed analysis, simulation, and testing of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop and implement design solutions for power system integration, thermal management, and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger naval platforms and projects.
• Ensure thorough testing and validation of mechanical components and systems to meet design specifications and military standards.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and power systems technologies.
• Ensure all projects adhere to Navy requirements, including MIL-STD-810 and other relevant military standards.
• Lead design reviews, project planning, and risk assessments.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Strong background in power systems.
• Experience working on Navy projects or contracts.
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a mechanical engineering context.
