Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Assistant is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating comprehensive user support Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation to ensure efficient and effective troubleshooting, system operations, and user guidance. With 3+ years of experience, the Senior Technical Assistant will collaborate with IT teams, subject matter experts, and end users to deliver high-quality, easy-to-understand documentation, contributing to improved system efficiency and user satisfaction. This is a 6 month contract and is fully remote (EST or CST candidates).

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Maintain SOP Documentation:
    • Create, update, and organize user support documentation, including step-by-step instructions, troubleshooting guides, system processes, and best practices for technical teams and end users.
    • Collaborate with IT Teams and Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with IT support, software developers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information, identify documentation needs, and ensure content accuracy and clarity.
    • Document Testing and Validation:
    • Test procedures outlined in the SOP documentation to ensure they are accurate, clear, and effective. Work with teams to validate that instructions are comprehensive and user-friendly.
    • User Training and Support:
    • Assist in user onboarding by providing documentation and guidance, ensuring that end users can effectively follow SOPs for system usage, troubleshooting, and operations.
    • Ensure Compliance with Standards:
    • Maintain all documentation according to organizational and industry standards, ensuring consistency, readability, and accuracy across all technical documentation.
    • Continuous Improvement:
    • Regularly review and update SOPs to incorporate new system features, updates, or changes in workflows, and identify areas for improvement in documentation processes.
    • Technical Issue Resolution:
    • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and provide detailed documentation to support the resolution of user problems.
