Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Temporary Building Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and repair of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the building and its systems. This temporary position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues related to building infrastructure, including doors, windows, flooring, and fixtures. Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and service building equipment and machinery, including elevators, boilers, and generators. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Identify and address any safety hazards or code violations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and urgent repair requests. Provide quick and effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
Preventive Maintenance: Implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of building systems and equipment. Identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Coordination: Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Ensure necessary materials are available for routine tasks and emergencies.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to building occupants. Address maintenance concerns and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a building maintenance technician or in a similar role.
Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
Ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently and effectively.
Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
