Transportation Project Engineer

Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of transportation project plans, including roadway, highway, and bridge designs.
• Conduct site investigations and technical assessments to inform project planning and design.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical analyses and calculations to support project designs.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Assist in the coordination of project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and support.
• Review and verify design work to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets required standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project quality assurance plans.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Provide technical support and respond to inquiries from clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project updates and technical information to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Benefits

• $80,000 - $120,000 a year
