Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Verify quantities and product conditions against purchase orders and packing lists.
Inventory Management: Organize and store products in designated areas. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts. Ensure products are properly labeled and easily accessible.
Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling. Meet daily order fulfillment targets and deadlines.
Shipping and Loading: Load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Ensure shipments are correctly documented and ready for dispatch.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools as required.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Assist in training new employees and support team members as needed.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, order inaccuracies, or equipment malfunctions. Escalate complex problems to supervisors.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and safety. Provide suggestions for process improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a warehouse worker or in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently. Forklift certification is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Good organizational and time management skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) are a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
