Position: Wastewater Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wastewater Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to the design and management of wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities: As a Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of wastewater treatment systems and infrastructure. You will conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental assessments to determine project requirements and constraints. Your role will involve preparing detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard software and tools. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Additionally, you will oversee construction activities, conduct inspections, and perform technical reviews to ensure the quality and integrity of wastewater projects. Your expertise will contribute to sustainable and efficient solutions for wastewater management.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in wastewater engineering or related environmental engineering fields.
Proficiency in wastewater treatment design and modeling software (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X, WaterCAD).
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental compliance standards (e.g., EPA, Clean Water Act).
Experience with hydraulic and process design of wastewater treatment facilities and infrastructure.
Ability to manage projects, budgets, and schedules effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience with storm water management, water resources engineering, or environmental remediation.
Knowledge of sustainable wastewater treatment technologies and practices.
Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software for spatial analysis.
