Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Water Resources Construction Superintendent with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment construction. The successful candidate will oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires hands-on experience in managing complex construction projects, particularly in the water resources sector.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

    • Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for water and wastewater treatment projects, including the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor forces.
    • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality control plans. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards.
    • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring that all project milestones and deadlines are met. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to address any scheduling conflicts or delays.
    • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations on the construction site. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
    • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the timely delivery of materials.
    • Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring expenses, minimizing waste, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensure that all work is completed within the allocated budget.
    • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues and challenges that arise on-site. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to implement solutions.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation. Report on project status to senior management and clients.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site communication with clients, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that all parties are informed of project progress and any changes to the construction plan.
    • Leadership: Lead and motivate the construction team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and laborers.
