The Product Policy Manager will assist with our platform and policy efforts for content and user safety. As part of the Brand Safety team at WEBTOON, you will join a team of Trust and Safety professionals dedicated to maintaining user and platform safety through research, policy, and advocacy. Our Brand Safety team works at the intersection of technology, legal and compliance, user operations, content publishing, and entertainment. You must be detail-oriented, visual, and self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communications skills.
This is a 6-month temporary role.
Responsibilities
Work closely with product teams to build and implement platform tools geared towards user safety and platform integrity. This includes product tools such as content rating systems, AI moderation tools for detection and classification of harmful content, spam prevention and other safety-by-design systems
Conduct detailed investigations of complex cases and ensure timely and effective resolution, while maintaining detailed documentation and reporting on findings and actions taken
Drive best practices in policy and risk mitigation, manage regulatory readiness and enforcement outcomes, and resolve user safety scenarios, while identifying opportunities for improved compliance
Communicate the impact of abuse, impact of our moderation, gaps in our detections, safety risks, and other threats to internal teams and stakeholders
Ensure that internal teams/departments understand our reactive and proactive user safety policies are enforced.
Research and analyze trends on new categories of harmful content posts and lead internal workshops and education programs on these topics
Partner with internal stakeholders, such as Legal and Community Operations teams, in developing and refining product, policies and operations to improve creator and reader experience
Assist with a broad set of activities that support policy and product development and implementation in the company for platform campaigns and events
Requirements
Education: B.A./B.S. in related fields
3+ years' experience in trust and safety for UGC platforms
Strong proficiency with technology and online project management systems: SharePoint, MS Office, Airtable
Must have experience working with Zendesk
Proficiency in Excel and/or SQL, and experience preparing reports
Culturally aware of trends and pop culture in United States/North America
Interested in content policy, compliance, and/or internet governance
Must have experience working with multicultural company
