We are seeking a talented and motivated WordPress Developer/Level 1 Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in WordPress development and be capable of providing excellent Level 1 support for Windows and general desktop issues. This role involves managing and troubleshooting WordPress sites, addressing customer inquiries, and providing end-user support for Windows environments.

Responsibilities:

    • WordPress Development and Maintenance:
    • Install, configure, and update WordPress themes and plugins.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and security checks.
    • Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress performance, security, and functionality.

    • Level 1 Desktop Support:
    • Provide Level 1 support to end-users via email, chat, and phone.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-related issues, including software installations, network connectivity, and account access.
    • Assist with basic hardware troubleshooting (e.g., printers, monitors, peripheral devices).
    • Log and manage support tickets using our helpdesk system.
    • Escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.

    • Customer Service:
    • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
    • Provide clear and concise guidance and support to clients with varying levels of technical expertise.
    • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude when interacting with clients.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • Required Skills and Qualifications: 
    • Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin management.
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with common WordPress issues and their resolutions.
    • Experience with helpdesk support and ticketing systems.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and related software.
    • Experience with basic hardware troubleshooting.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Preferred Qualifications: 
    • Experience with WordPress development (custom themes and plugins).
    • Knowledge of web hosting environments and cPanel.
    • Basic understanding of SEO principles and practices.
    • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar.
    • Experience with other content management systems (CMS).
