The Battery Cell Development Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of battery cells in alignment with the company’s R&D objectives. This role will focus on advanced battery technology projects, involving the research, testing, and development of new materials, processes, and designs to enhance cell performance, safety, and scalability. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, materials science, and manufacturing, to bring cutting-edge battery innovations from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead and manage battery cell development projects from concept through completion, ensuring project timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met.
R&D Collaboration: Collaborate with the R&D team to develop new battery materials and chemistries, evaluate innovative technologies, and integrate them into product development.
Battery Design & Development: Work on the design, prototyping, and testing of battery cells, focusing on key performance metrics such as energy density, cycle life, charge/discharge rates, and thermal stability.
Material Evaluation: Conduct research and testing of various materials and components (e.g., cathodes, anodes, electrolytes) to optimize battery performance and durability.
Testing & Validation: Plan and execute rigorous testing protocols for battery cells, including performance testing, safety testing, and environmental stress testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
