Responsibilities:
Business Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and requirements. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Writing: Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, process workflows, and training materials. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accurate.
DoD Compliance: Ensure all business processes and documentation comply with DoD standards, regulations, and guidelines. Stay up-to-date with changes in DoD policies and incorporate them into business practices and documentation.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including DoD clients, to gather and document business and technical requirements. Facilitate meetings and workshops to capture and validate requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop strategies to implement changes. Work with cross-functional teams to execute improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding business analysis and technical documentation. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and issues.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to support business decisions and provide insights into process performance. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Training and Support: Provide training and support to users on new systems, processes, and documentation. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions as needed.
Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews of documentation and processes to ensure they meet DoD standards and business requirements. Implement best practices for documentation and process management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on technical writing and DoD experience.
Strong understanding of DoD regulations, standards, and procedures.
Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
Proficiency with business analysis tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Project management skills and experience are a plus.
Security clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or technical writing is a plus.
$140,000 - $155,000 a year
