The Commercialization Strategy and Innovation team is seeking a business intelligence engineer to support its data strategy. This role will support multiple product teams by developing, optimizing, and managing data solutions to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, using Azure, Snowflake and/or Databricks, and Python to create data pipelines, integrate diverse datasets, and deliver actionable insights. This role requires someone who can collaborate across teams and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large datasets from multiple product teams.
  • Data Integration: Integrate various data sources across the organization using Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure technologies.
  • Data Warehousing & Modeling: Develop and optimize data models in Snowflake and/or Databricks for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Collaboration with Product Teams: Work closely with different product teams to understand their data needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data solutions.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Establish data validation and integrity checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in data outputs.
  • Automation: Automate data workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Application Development: Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate data-driven insights into web applications or other business intelligence technologies.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Critical Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with Azure, Snowflake and/or Databricks, and Python.
  • Experience developing data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database systems, data warehousing, and SQL.

Additional Skills

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Advanced knowledge of Azure services for data storage, processing, and integration.
    • Experience building analytic products on cloud platform or DB engines such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.  Proficient in visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
    • Proficiency in Python for general development, data processing, and automation.
  • Data Modeling & Warehousing: Experience in designing efficient and scalable data models and data architecture to support reporting needs.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering on time and within scope.

Salary: 105,200.00 - 140,200.00 - 175,300.00 USD Annual (Target 125K with 10% MIP)
